Following widespread criticisms for Dabzee's rendering of the song Blood from Marco, its makers have released a new version sung by Santhosh Venky. The latter, a Kannada-based playback singer, is best known for his powerful numbers in the KGF films. Ravi Basrur, the music director of KGF films, is composing for Marco as well.

Dabzee, one of the most sought-after singers in Malayalam cinema today, has sung chartbuster numbers like Manavalan Thug from Thallumaala, Illuminati from Aavesham, and Vatteppam from Mandakini. However, the singer faced severe criticism for his version of the Blood song, following which the makers have decided to opt for a new version. This adrenaline-pumping song has lyrics by Vinayak Sasikumar, with rap by Rohith Siddappa.

Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni, is billed as a violent action film. Backed by Shareef Muhammed under the banner of Cubes Entertainments in association with Unni Mukundan Films, it is slated for release on December 20. Besides Malayalam, it will have dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi as well.
