Earlier, we reported that director Mahesh Narayanan’s upcoming film, starring Mammootty, Mohanlal, and Kunchacko Boban, had begun production in Sri Lanka. Now, confirming recent speculations, Fahadh Faasil has also joined the cast of this yet-to-be-titled project. Reportedly a spy thriller, the film is being shot by Bollywood cinematographer Manush Nandan, who previously wielded the camera for films such as Dunki and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.

Mahesh, an editor-turned-filmmaker, is best known for helming acclaimed films like Take Off, C U Soon, Malik, and Ariyippu. Notably, his 2017 directorial debut Take Off featured both Fahadh and Kunchacko. The director's ambitious new project also marks the reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal on screen after 11 years, following their last collaboration in Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty.

Mammootty recently completed filming an untitled project directed by debutant Jithin K Jose, co-starring Vinayakan. The veteran actor also has Bazooka, directed by newcomer Deeno Dennis, awaiting release.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is preparing for the release of his directorial debut Barroz, scheduled to hit theatres on December 25.

Fahadh and Kunchacko were last seen in Amal Neerad’s Bougainvillea, alongside Jyothirmayi.
