Kallam gears up for release

The film marks the acting debut of P Sreekumar's daughter Devi Krishnakumar

Veteran actor-director P Sreekumar's daughter Devi Krishnakumar is set to make her acting debut with Kallam, which is gearing up for release later this month. Billed as a murder mystery, the film is directed by Anuram and scripted by Arya Bhuvanendran.

P Sreekumar, who has acted in over 150 films, is best known for his roles in Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam, Achuvinte Amma, Rappakal, Drishyam, Fireman, etc. He has also directed films like Kayyum Thalayum Purathidaruthu, Asthikal Pookkunnu, and Vishnu. His daughter Devi, an English teacher, is making her entry to films through social media reels. She had earlier acted in the short film Nirbhayayum Vedhalavum.

Kallam also stars Jeo Baby, Adil Ibrahim, Shaheen Siddique, and Kailash in major roles. Others in the cast include Nandana Rajan, Akhil Prabhakar, Ajaz, Anuram, Ann Maria, Savitha Bhaskar, Shobha Paravoor and Asha Devi. Produced by Cameo Entertainments, it has Martin Mathew as the cinematographer. While Madhu Paul handles the background score, Jishnu Thilak composes the songs.
