Earlier, we reported that an Ernakulam-based female actor has filed a sexual assault case against director Omar Lulu. On Thursday, the Kerala High Court granted interim anticipatory bail to the Oru Adaar Love director in the case.

In his court plea, Omar maintained that his sexual relationship with the complainant, who acted in his last film, was consensual. A bench led by Justice A Nasaruddin has postponed Omar's plea for a detailed hearing to June 6, while granting him bail.

According to the complainant, the director sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions under the pretense of friendship and promising her roles in his films. In response, Omar claimed that the woman filed the police complaint in an attempt to blackmail and extort money from him.

Omar is currently working on his new film, Bad Boyz, featuring Rahman and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles.
