The first schedule of Unni Mukundan-starrer Marco has been wrapped up. The team shot over around 15 days in Munnar before they called it a wrap and shifted to Kochi. As per the makers, the Kochi schedule will last for over a month and a half before they head to Greece for the next leg of shoot. Directed by Haneef Adeni, the film is produced by Cubes Entertainments in association with Unni Mukundan Films.

Marco is the spin-off of Mikhael, also directed by Haneef. The 2018-released film had Nivin Pauly as the titular lead and Unni as the antagonist, Marco Jr. We learn that the new film will delve into Marco's past and his introduction to the world of crimes. The makers have claimed it to be the most violent film ever made in Malayalam. It will also be out in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada languages.

Marco's cast includes Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul, Siddique and Jagadish among others. It has Chandru Selvaraj as the cinematographer, Shameer Muhammed as the editor and KGF-fame Ravi Basrur as the music director. Kalai Kingson has been signed as the action choreographer.

Unni Mukundan's next release will be Garudan, the Tamil film, in which he stars alongside Soori and Sasikumar. Co-produced by Vetrimaaran, it is set to hit screens on May 31. Unni's upcoming slate also includes Get-Set Baby, Gandharva Jr, and the long-delayed Mindiyum Paranjum.
