We had earlier reported about Kalabhavan Shajohn headlining CID Ramachandran Retd SI, an investigation thriller. The film is directed by debutant Sanoop Sathyan. The makers recently released its trailer, from which it looks like a gripping thriller about a murder investigation. From the trailer, we learn that a woman named Urmila is murdered in mysterious circumstances at her home in the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram. Shajohn plays the role of an ex-cop who happens to investigate this challenging case even after retirement. The film is primarily about how he collects evidences to unlock the mystery behind the murder.

Anumol plays Urmila's character in the film. Baiju Santhosh, Sudheer Karamana, Indrans, VK Baiju, Prem Kumar and many others are part of the cast. Director Sanoop Sathyan has co-written the script with Aneesh V Sivadas. Kaanekkane-fame Joe Christo Xavier is the cinematographer and Lijo Paul is the editor. The film has music by Anu and background score by Anto Francis.

Produced by AD 1877 Pictures and Sense Launch Entertainment, the film is slated for release on May 17.
