Gu Trailer: Saiju Kurup's film blends folk art, myths, and reality in a village setting

The makers of Gu, starring Saiju Kurup in a lead role, released the film's trailer earlier tonight. The trailer offers a glimpse into the film's village setting, replete with myths, legends, and folk art. It ends with a voiceover narration where Mohanlal describes the film's world as one that exists between the invincible, truth, and reality.

The film stars Saiju as the father of a girl, played by Deva Nandha of Malikappuram fame. Manu Radhakrishnan wrote and directed the film. It also stars Niranj and Maniyanpilla Raju.

Maniyanpilla Raju produced it under his namesake banner, with Indira Raju serving as an executive producer. The film has cinematography by Chandrakanth Madhavan, editing by Vinayan MJ, and music by Jonathan Bruce.

Gu will hit theatres on May 17.
