Manjummel Boys makers claimed that the film has crossed the Rs. 200-crore mark at the global box office. It is the first Malayalam film to achieve this feat, according to the makers.

Earlier, the makers had also claimed that Manjummel Boys became the highest worldwide grosser from the Malayalam film industry and also the fastest film in the language to gross Rs. 100 crores globally. As per trade experts, the film has surpassed the Rs. 50-crore mark solely from Tamil Nadu, where it is continuing its groundbreaking run.

The film, written and directed by Chidambaram, was released on February 22 and was met with favorable feedback from both critics and audiences. Based on real-life events, Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller whose technical crew includes cinematographer Shyju Khalid, composer Sushin Shyam, editor Vivek Harshan, and production designer Ajayan Chalissery. It is jointly produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony.

Meanwhile, Chidambaram has already signed his next film with Weekend Blockbuster, who last produced the action-packed superhit RDX.
