The 49-year-old suffered a heart attack

Malayalam scriptwriter Nissam Rawther passed away at the age of 49 in Pathanamthitta. As per reports, the writer suffered a heart attack. He is also a health inspector. 

Nissam's untimely demise comes two days before the release of his film, Oru Sarkar Ulpannam. He has previously scripted Zachariayude Garbhinikal and Bombay Mittayi.

Oru Sarkar Ulpannam recently made the headlines over the change of its title after the censor board directed the makers to remove Bharatha from the film's original title, Oru Bharatha Sarkar Ulppannam.

Oru Sarkar Ulpannam marks the directorial debut of TV Renjith. TV Krishnan, KC Raghunathan, and Renjith Jaganathan produced the film under the banner of Bhavani Productions. It is billed as a social drama, starring Gouri Kishan, Aju Varghese, and Subish Sudhi in key roles. Its supporting cast includes Vineeth Vasudev, Jaffer Idukki, Vijay Babu, Shelly, Darsana S Nair, and Lal Jose.
