The production house behind Mandakini, Spire Productions, announced their next film, titled Maine Pyar Kiya, along with a motion teaser on Friday. Billed as a romantic comedy laced with thrilling elements, the film is directed by debutant Faizal Faziludeen, who has also co-wrote the script along with Blk Fzl. The animated teaser hints at a cat-and-mouse game between a Tamilian gangster and three Malayali youngsters, set against the backdrop of an elopement.

Produced by Sanju Unnithan, Maine Pyar Kiya has cinematography by Don Paul P, editing by Kannan Mohan, music by Ajmal Hasbulla, and sound design by Renganaath Ravee. Details regarding the cast are awaited, as the film is gearing up to go on floors.

Spire Productions' previous venture Mandakini, released on May 24, featured Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar in the lead roles. Sanju's banner has also backed films like Aabhaasam (2018) and Paapam Cheyyathavar Kalleriyatte (2020) in the past.
