Gaganachari, directed by Arun Chandu, was released theatrically across Kerala on Friday. The film has been garnering positive reviews from the critics and general audience, despite its limited release. In a press conference in Kochi, organised by the makers, actor Ganesh Kumar revealed that actor-politician Suresh Gopi called him to congratulate his performance in Gaganachari.

Jointly scripted by Arun and debutant Siva Sai, the film stars Anarkali Marikar, Gokul Suresh and Aju Varghese in the lead roles along with Ganesh. It has music by Sankar Sharma, cinematography by Surjith S Pai, and editing by Ceejay Achu and Aravind Manmadhan.

Gaganachari is backed by Ajith Vinayaka Films, while National Award-winning filmmaker Krishand served as the film's executive producer.

An excerpt from the CE review reads, "Gaganachari comes from a team that demonstrates a deep love for cinema and an extensive understanding of sci-fi genre tropes and the mockumentary format. Despite being set many years in the future, with spaceships hovering in the distance, the atmosphere of Gaganachari seems eerily familiar."
