Devadath Shaji, who is best known for the writing credits of Mammootty- starrer Bheeshma Parvam (2022), is set for his directorial debut with an upcoming Malayalam film titled Dheeran. The makers have released the film's first look poster on their social media handles.

In addition to directing, Devadath will also be the film's writer. The film will be produced by Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon, who have previously produced films like Vikrithi, Jan. E. Man, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, and Falimy under the Cheers Entertainments banner. Further details about the cast and the plot of the film have yet to be revealed.

The film's technical crew includes music composer Christo Xavier, known for Bramayugam, editor Finn George Varghese, and Harikrishnan Lohithadas, son of the late filmmaker Lohithadas, serving as the cinematographer.
