The makers of Gaganachari released the lyrical video of the song titled Paathalam. Composed by Sankar Sharma, with lyrics written by Manu Manjith, the song has been sung by Zia Ul Haq. The film, scheduled to hit theatres on June 21, is directed by Arun Chandu, known for helming Saajan Bakery Since 1962 (2021) and Sayanna Varthakal (2022).

Gaganachari, jointly scripted by Arun and debutant Siva Sai, stars Anarkali Marikar, Gokul Suresh, Aju Varghese and Ganesh Kumar in the lead roles. The film is billed as a dystopian science fiction mockumentary.

It was shot in Kochi during the lockdown period, complying with COVID protocols. Selected by nine international film festivals, Gaganachari had an exclusive premiere earlier this year in Kochi, where it received critical acclaim.

Produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films, the film's technical crew comprises cinematographer Surjith S Pai and editors Ceejay Achu and Aravind Manmadhan. Recently, the National Award-winning filmmaker Krishand stepped in as the executive producer of the film.
