Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD, written and directed by Nag Ashwin, is set to hit the screens worldwide on June 27. Actor Dulquer Salmaan's enterprise Wayfarer Films has acquired the distribution rights of the film for Kerala. The firm's social media handle announced the same with a caption that read, "Embark on a journey into the future with #Kalki2898AD☄️! We are thrilled to announce that the long-awaited film of the year, #Kalki2898AD, will be hitting theaters in Kerala courtesy of Wayfarer Films."

Kalki 2898 AD, billed as a dystopian science-fiction laced with high-octane action, also stars Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani, among others. It has cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic, editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and music by Santhosh Narayanan.

The film is produced by Chalasani Aswini Dutt, Swapna Dutt and Priyanka Dutt under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies. Interestingly, Dulquer headlined the production company's previous film Sita Ramam (2022), a period romantic drama alongside Mrunal Thakur, which went on to become a huge success.

Apart from Telugu, Kalki 2898 AD will be simultaneously released in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi.
