Actor Suresh Gopi sworn in as a minister of the new Narendra Modi-led NDA government

The actor-politician is the first elected Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Kerala, representing Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to take an oath as a minister

Earlier, we reported that Suresh Gopi became the first elected Lok Sabha Member of Parliament from Kerala as a representative of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Sunday, the actor-politician was sworn in as a minister of the new Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government after taking the oath. His ministerial portfolio is yet to be known.

Suresh had recently said that he will be a part of actor Mammootty's home banner Mammootty Kampany's upcoming film, which is expected to begin in August. He also mentioned that his long-delayed Ottakomban is still in the pipeline, while also stating he has committed to three films produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.

Suresh has Pravin Narayanan's legal thriller titled Janaki v/s State of Kerala (JSK), alongside Anupama Parameswaran, in the post-production stages. He was last seen in Arun Varma's Garudan (2023), written by Midhun Manuel Thomas.
