The makers of the film Hunt, starring Bhavana in the lead role and directed by Shaji Kailas, dropped a new teaser for the film that bears its release date. The film will release on August 9. The new teaser hints at a horror film set against a medical backdrop where Bhavana's character, seemingly a forensic expert, looks into the mysterious death of a person. Shaji Kailas directed the film from a screenplay written by Nikhil Anand, who earlier scripted the 2017 Roshan Mathew starrer Matchbox.

The film reunites Bhavana with Shaji Kailas after 2006's Chinthamani Kolacase, starring Suresh Gopi in the lead. The cast of Hunt also includes Renji Panicker, Chandhunadh, Anu Mohan, Dain Davis, Aditi Ravi, G Suresh Kumar, Ajmal Ameer, Rahul Madhav, Binu Pappan, Nandhu, and Vijayakumar.

The film has music by Kailas Menon, cinematography by Jackson Johnson, and editing by Akhil AR. It is produced by K Radhdakrishnan under the banner of Jayalakshmi Films.
