The teaser of Idiyan Chandhu, headlined by Vishnu Unnikrishnan, was released by the makers. Inspired by true events, the teaser of the film begins with Vishnu as a high schooler and Kichu Tellus' character amid a fight in a school ground. Promising an action-heavy entertainer, it is followed by montage shots of various stunt sequences choreographed by Peter Hein, known for films like Anniyan, Baahubali: The Beginning and Pulimurugan.

Idiyan Chandhu, slated to hit theatres on July 19, is helmed by Kuttanadan Marpappa director Sreejith Vijayan, who has also penned the upcoming film. Apart from Vishnu and Kichus, it also stars Lena, Lalu Alex, I M Vijayan, Jayashree Sivadha, Vidhya Vijay, Chandu Salimkumar, Fukru, Sooraj Thelakkad, Johny Antony, Ramesh Pisharody, Biju Sopanam and Sminu Sijo.

Idiyan Chandhu has cinematography by Vignesh Vasu and editing by V Saajan. While the music is handled by Aravind R Warrier and Minshad Zara, the background score is composed by Deepak Dev. It is produced by Shafeek, Subair, Rayees, Vishnu and Sreejith under the banner of Happy Productions.
