CE Features

The Malayalam film Philip's, which was released in theatres on December 1, will be streaming on Prime Videos starting January 19.

The film, directed by Alfred Kurian Joseph, stars Mukesh in the lead, marking it his 300th film. Penned by Alfred Kurian along with Mathukutty Xavier, Philip's also stars Innocent, Noble Babu Thomas, Navani Devanand, Quinn Vipin, Asha Madathil, Sreedhanya, Ajit Koshy, Ansha Mohan, Charlie, and Sacchin Nachi, among others.

Following the theatrical release, Philip's met with a positive to mixed reception. An Excerpt from the CE review of the film reads, " Apart from some occasional counters and recall of Mukesh's popular dialogues, the first half lacks genuinely funny moments despite having immense potential. For the most part, the writers follow familiar beats before throwing in the conflict from nowhere—quite literally. But fortunately, after that sudden jolt, the narrative becomes more organic, and you start developing an emotional connection with the characters."

The film's technical team comprises cinematographer Jaison Jacob John and editor Nidhin Raj Arol.
