Gaganachari, the upcoming Malayalam dystopian comedy film, will have its world premiere at the Kerala Pop Con, the pop culture event in the state, akin to the globally acclaimed Comic Con. The premiere is scheduled to take place at PVR, Lulu Mall, Kochi, on January 7 at 10 AM. It is to be noted that the premiere event will officially kick-start the main Kerala Pop Con event scheduled for January 28 at Kochi Panambilly Nagar Rotary Club.

Gaganachari unfolds its storyline in the dystopian backdrop of 2043 Kerala. The film stars Aju Varghese, Gokul Suresh, Anarkali Marikar, and KB Ganesh Kumar in prominent roles. It marks Arun Chandu's third directorial after Sayanna Varthakal and Saajan Bakery.

The experimental film was shot in Kochi during the lockdown period complying with Covid protocols. The film has been selected by nine international film festivals, including New York and London, Art Blocks International Film Festival, Fantasy/Sci-Fi Film and Screenplay Festival, Chicago American Golden Picture International Film Festival FILMESQUE, CineFest, New York, Crown Point International Film Festival and Lift-Off Film Maker Sessions at Pinewood Studios.

Bankrolled by Ajith Vinayaka films, Gaganachari has a screenplay and dialogues by Arun Chandu and Siva Sai, cinematography by Surjith S Pai, editing by CeeJay Achu, and music by Sankar Sharma. Aravind Manmadhan is the co-editor.
