The makers of the Malayalam film Kadakan, starring Hakim Shahjahan in the lead role, released the film's trailer on Tuesday. The film is directed by debutant Sajil Mampad, who also penned the story; the film will hit the theatres on March 1. 

The trailer showcases a village plagued by gang wars over sand mining. It portrays a face-off between the cops and the criminals, where Shajahan's character is also seen as one.

Bankrolled by Khaleel Hameed Under the banner of Kadathanadan Cinemas, Kadakan has a screenplay penned by Bodhi and Sasi Kumar Mampad. 

The film's technical crew comprises DOP Jazin Jaseel, editor Shameer Muhammed and music composer Gopi Sundar.

Kadakan also stars Ranjith, Sarath Sabha, Fahiz Bin Rifai, Nirmal Palazhi, Sona Olickal, Harisree Asokan, Jaffar Idukki, Manikandan R Achari, Sinoj Varghese, Pradeep Balan, Dinesh Prabhakar, Poojappura Radhakrishnan, Geethi Sangeetha, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Bibin Perumpilly.
