Singer Hariharan, who lent his voice to some beautiful Malayalam songs, is going to make his acting debut in writer-director KG Vijayakumar’s Daya Bharati. Describing it as “the first delightful surprise of the year” on his Instagram handle, Hariharan shared the news with his fans, alongside the first-look poster of Daya Bharati. The poster of the film shows Hariharan in a bespectacled look and sporting a greyish jacket.

The film’s main cast includes Kailash, Appani Sarath, and Dinesh Prabhakar. It also features National Award winner Nanjiamma and many other tribal artists as added cast members. Santhosh and Melbin team up as directors of photography for the film, with lyrics by Prabhavarma, Darwin Piravam, and Jayan Thodupuzha, and music by Stilju Arjun.

Asokan Charangattu and GV Vijayakumar co-produce the film under the banner of Thamburan International Film and Events. Daya Bharati also marks the first film project of Thamburan Chitty Funds Pvt Ltd.
