Actor-director Prithviraj Sukumaran launched the official teaser of Manjith Divakar’s upcoming film titled The SpOils on social media. The teaser starts with references to a missing person, hinting at a moody thriller. However, from the full teaser, it seems like the film offers social commentary about alienation in old age and is disguised as a thriller.

The SpOils is an interesting title for a film whose teaser itself offers a lot of revealing information about it. One may or may not say that it contains spoilers. There is the flashing image of an accident and an old man reminiscing his family. Did the man lose his memory and/or his family following the accident? Divakar has managed to establish enough intrigue about the film.

The SpOils is produced by M A Rahim of Marben Studios and also stars Rahim in the lead role. The relatively lesser-known cast also includes Anjali Ameer, Preethi Christina Paul, Vineeth Mohan, Akhil Kavalur, Akshay Joshi, Darsha, and Shruthika.

Diwakar is known for the film Cochin Shadhi at Chennai 03, which he made along with its Tamil version Vanmurai.
