The content team behind Blessy’s ambitious new film Aadujeevitham has released a new video on YouTube, that offers a glimpse into the making of the movie. The video shows the film’s portions shot in Jordan’s Wadi Rum Desert, as Benyamin, the writer of the novel Aadujeevitham, on which the film is based, talks about how he wrote the novel. Benyamin talks about how he met his novel’s real-life character, Najeeb, forged a friendship with that person, and wrote the novel. The writer also does not hold back his excitement in being part of a film set for the first time.

Aadujeevitham has been in the news for a long time now. It became a statewide talking point when the cast and crew got stuck in Jordan as they filmed the portions there during the COVID-19 lockdown. The lockdown-induced scheduling hassle meant that the film’s lead actor Prithviraj Sukumaran had to undergo a physical transformation twice for his character. Prithviraj also appears as an emancipated man undergoing an ordeal in the deserts of the Middle East.

For the uninitiated, Aadujeevitham is based on Benyamin’s best-selling novel of the same name, chronicling the existential crisis of its protagonist named Najeeb. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the main character in Aadujeevitham, which also features popular actors like Amala Paul and Jimmy Jean-Louis. The film has music by AR Rahman.
