Indrajith Sukumaran is all set to reprise his role as Govardhan in Mohanlal's much-anticipated L2: Empuraan. The makers revealed his character poster with the tagline 'The truth will seek you this time' on his birthday. The Prithviraj Sukumaran-directed sequel is slated to release worldwide on March 27, 2025.

In the original, Indrajith Sukumaran played the role of a whistleblower, revealing secrets through his Facebook live stream. He was the first one to reveal that Stephen Nedumpally, played by Mohanlal is 'the most dangerous person'.

The film marks Prithviraj’s third directorial venture with Mohanlal, following Lucifer and Bro Daddy. Scripted by Murali Gopy, L2: Empuraan will also feature the return of key supporting cast members such as Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier and Saniya Iyappan, along with new additions yet to be revealed. Earlier, the makers had revealed Prithviraj's role to be Zayed Masood as 'The Emperor's General'.

The film's technical team includes many returning members, including cinematographer Sujith Vaassudev, composer Deepak Dev and action choreographer Stunt Silva. L2E wrapped shooting earlier this month.

L2: Empuraan, produced by Aashirvad Cinemas in collaboration with Lyca Productions, is also expected to release simultaneously in dubbed versions across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi, alongside Malayalam.
