Speculations are rife that Mohanlal will be playing a cameo role in Dileep's upcoming film Bha Bha Ba. The two had earlier acted together in films like Varnapakittu, Twenty20, Christian Brothers and China Town. It is said that Bha Bha Ba is part of a two-film deal that Mohanlal has committed with Sree Gokulam Films. The actor is also teaming up with the banner for a film directed by Jithu Madhavan of Romancham and Aavesham fame.

Bha Bha Ba is directed by debutant Dhananjay Shankar, who earlier assisted filmmakers like Vineeth Sreenivasan and Vysakh. His maiden film is scripted by actors Fahim Safar and Noorin Shereef. While Noorn is making her writing debut, it is Fahim's second scripting attempt after co-writing the Joju George-starrer Madhuram.

Bha Bha Ba's star cast also includes Vineeth Sreenivasan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Balu Varghese, Saranya Ponvannan, Sidharth Bharathan, Baiju Santhosh, Ashokan, Maniyanpilla Raju, Tamil actors Redin Kingsley and Sandy. Its technical crew includes cinematographer Armo, editor Ranjan Abraham, and composer Shaan Rahman.
