Veteran director Jayaraj's upcoming film has been titled Shanthamee Raathriyil. The film, which wrapped up shooting recently, features Esther Anil, Sidharth Bharathan, Kailash, Tiny Tom, Maala Parvathi, Jean Paul Lal, Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum-fame Viji Venkatesh and Pramod Veliyanadu in prominent roles. On the technical front, it has cinematography by Vignesh and Naveen Joseph Sebastian, editing by Sooraj ES and music by Jassie Gift.

Shanthamee Raathriyil is produced by Jayaraj, Rold Thomas James Valiyaparambil, Sunil Zakariya, George Kuruvila, Joby Jose and Saviyo Jose under the banner of New Generation Cinema.

Meanwhile, Jayaraj is also helming a sequel to his 1997 film Kaliyattam, titled Oru Perumgaliyattam, which began filming last year. While Suresh Gopi is reprising his role from the original, the film also stars Shine Tom Chacko, Anaswara Rajan and KGF: Chapter 2 actor B S Avinash in key roles. The current status of the project is unknown.
