The makers of the Shane Nigam-starrer Haal dropped a teaser on Saturday. The 46-second teaser offers a glimpse centred on a couple—a burkha-clad woman and a man—being moved into two police vehicles, promising an intense love story. The film is directed by Veeraa and scripted by Nishad Koya, known for penning films like Ordinary (2012), Madhura Naranga (2015), and Thoppil Joppan (2016).

Haal features Sakshi Vaidya, known for the Telugu films Agent (2023) and Gandeevadhari Arjuna (2023), as the female lead opposite Shane. The upcoming film's technical crew includes cinematographer Ravichandran, editor Akash, and composer Nandhagopan V. Billed as a romantic musical entertainer, Haal is produced by JVJ Productions. It was earlier reported that Pakistani singer Atif Aslam recently recorded a song for the film.

Shane was last seen in Aby Treesa Paul and Anto Jose Pereira's Little Hearts alongside Mahima Nambiar. The actor recently wrapped up the shoot of his Tamil debut, Madrasakaaran, directed by Rangoli fame Vaali Mohan Das.
