The makers of the Kunchacko Boban and Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer Grrr announced the OTT release date of the film.

The survival comedy film will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on August 20. In addition to Malayalam, the film will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

Grrr is directed by Ezra-fame Jay K from a screenplay he wrote with Praveen S. The film also stars Shruti Ramachandran, Manju Pillai, Anagaha, and Rajesh Madhavan in prominent roles. It has cinematography by Jayesh Nair, editing by Vivek Harshan, and background score by Dawn Vincent. Apart from Kailas, Tony Tarz and Dawn have also composed the songs. Grrr is produced by Shaji Nadesan and actor Arya under the banner of August Cinema.

The film opened to mixed reviews upon its release on June 14.

An excerpt from the CE review reads, "The screenplay, co-written by Jay K and Praveen S, falters most of the time when the narrative shifts away from the zoo to explore a rocky marriage and a love story that is unclear about what it wants to address. These flaws could have been overlooked if the makers had sensed the limited potential of addressing such sensitive topics in a film billed to provide mindless entertainment."
