Adios Amigo, starring Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu, will hit theatres on August 9, the makers announced on Monday. Billed as a comedy entertainer, the upcoming film was earlier scheduled to release on August 2, which was postponed due to the catastrophic Wayanad landslides and rainfall across Kerala. It is directed by debutant Nahas Nazar and scripted by Kettyolaanu Ente Malakha-fame Thankam.

Adios Amigo also features Shine Tom Chacko, Ganapathi, Althaf Salim, Jinu Joseph, Salim Hassan, Anagha, Muthumani, and Riaa Saira in prominent roles. Produced by Ashiq Usman, the film's technical crew includes cinematographer Jimshi Khalid, editor Nishadh Yusuf, and composer Gopi Sunder.

Meanwhile, Asif started shooting for Sethunath Padmakumar's Abhyanthara Kuttavali on Monday. His upcoming slate also includes The Priest director Jofin T Chacko's yet-to-be-titled sophomore outing, Rohith VS' Tiki Taka, Dinjith Ayyathan's Kishkindha Kandam, an untitled film with 1001 Nunakal-fame Thamar KV, and Jis Joy's Thalavan sequel.

On the other hand, Suraj has Aamir Pallikkal's ED - Extra Decent, Prem Shankar's Thekku Vadakku, Anuraj Manohar's Narivetta, Manu Swaraj's Padakkalam, and Nissam Basheer's next film lined up. Additionally, he is part of the Vikram-starrer Veera Dheera Sooran, marking his debut in Tamil.
