Kunchacko Boban's new film with debutant director Jithu Ashraf commenced on Saturday. It is produced by Martin Prakkat Films and The Green Room, headed by Siby Chavara and Ranjith Nair. The two banners had earlier collaborated on Pranaya Vilasam.

Jithu Ashraf, who assisted in films like Action Hero Biju, Udhaharanam Sujatha and Ela Veezha Poonchira is also noted for his acting performances in Nayattu and Iratta. His directorial debut, scripted by Shahi Kabir, is an emotional crime thriller. Jithu and Shahi were earlier supposed to work on Aaravam, which was reportedly based on the snake boat race in Kerala and lives of the boat race community. Tovino Thomas was announced as its lead actor, but the project got dropped due to some unknown reasons.

The upcoming Kunchacko Boban-starrer has Priyamani as the female lead. Jagadish, Manoj KU, Srikant Murali, Unni Lalu, Vaishak Shankar, Ramzan and a bunch of newcomers are also part of the cast. It has Kannur Squad director Roby Varghese Raj as the cinematographer, Jakes Bejoy as the music director and Chaman Chakko as the editor.
