The makers of Vineeth Sreenivasan's latest release, Varshangalkku Shesham, have announced the film's entry to the Rs 50 crore club from its worldwide collections. The film is holding strong at the box office despite stiff competition from the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Aavesham, which also released on April 11.

Varshangalkku Shesham is about two friends, Venu (Dhyan Sreenivasan) and Murali (Pranav Mohanlal) and their cinema journey, starting from the 70s to 2023. Nivin Pauly plays an extended cameo in it as a film star. The cast also includes Basil Joseph, Aju Varghese, Neeta Pillai and Kalyani Priyadarshan.

The film has met with largely positive response, particularly among the families who seem to have lapped up Vineeth Sreenivasan's wholesome packaging yet again. The presence of a star-studded cast and debutant Amrith Ramnath's music are some of the other factors that have worked in the film's favour.

Visakh Subramaniam's Merryland Cinemas, the banner which produced Vineeth's last film, Hridayam, is backing Varshangalkku Shesham as well
