Vadakkan, starring Kishore and Kismat-fame Shruthy Menon, has been selected at this year's Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF). Directed by Sajeed A, it is the first Malayalam film to be featured in the International Projects Showcase section of BIF Market 2024. The film is scripted by the State Award-winning scenarist Unni R, known for penning films like Munnariyippu (2014), Charlie (2015), Leela (2016), Prathi Poovankozhi (2019) and Naradan (2022).

Billed as a supernatural thriller set against the backdrop of ancient North Malabar folklore, Vadakkan is produced under the banner of Offbeet Studios, a subsidiary of Offbeet Media Group. The film has music by Bijibal, cinematography by Keiko Nakahara and sound design by Academy Award winner Resul Pookutty.

Vadakkan is also set to be showcased at Cannes within the Marché Du Film, an annual film market held as part of the Festival De Cannes.
