Unni Mukundan's Jai Ganesh completes censorship formalities

CE Features

The makers of Unni Mukundan's upcoming film Jai Ganesh announced that the film cleared censorship formalities with a U certificate from the CBFC.

The film written and directed by Ranjith Sankar follows a wheelchair-bound graphic designer (Unni Mukundan) who creates a fictional superhero Jai Ganesh. The trailer, which was released a few weeks ago, also reveals that the lead turns a detective at nights because of which he could have run-ins with the bad guys which in turn could have possibly rendered him immobile.

Apart from Unni Mukundan, the other cast members include Mahima Nambiar, Ravindra Vijay, Jomol, Hareesh Perady, Ashokan, Nandhu, Benzi Mathews, Srikanth K Vijayan, Ann Saleem, and Vinod Rajan. The film is shot by Chandru Selvaraj and edited by Sangeeth Prathap, who recently shot to fame by playing the role of Amal Davis in Premalu.

Ranjith Sankar's Dreams n Beyond and Unni Mukundan Films are jointly producing Jai Ganesh. The film is set for a release on April 11. Notably, Fahadh Faasil's Aavesham and the Vineeth Sreenivasan-directorial Varshangalkku Shesham, starring Pranav Mohanlal, are also hitting screens on the same day.
