After a few delays and postponements, Chaaver, the upcoming Malayalam film directed by Tinu Pappachan, will hit the theatre on October 5. The makers announced the news through their social media handles on Wednesday.

Chaaver was initially scheduled for release on September 21, but later, it was speculated that it would hit theatres on September 28. However, the makers only unveiled the film's trailer after the earlier release date—the film's trailer hints at a political thriller set in Kannur.

Chaaver stars Kunchacko Boban, Arjun Asokan, and Antony Varghese in the leading roles. Chaaver marks Tinu Pappachan's third directorial venture after Swathanthryam Ardhararthriyil and Ajagajantharam.

Alongside the lead actors, the film boasts an exceptional cast, including Manoj KU, Anuroop, Sajin, Joy Mathew, Deepak Parambol, Arun Narayan, and Sangeetha Madhavan.

Chaaver is scripted by actor Joy Mathew, who earlier wrote the Mammootty-starrer Uncle and the critically acclaimed film Shutter.

Produced jointly by Arun Narayan and Venu Kunnappilly, the film's technical crew includes cinematographer Jinto George, editor Nishadh Yusuf, and music director Justin Varghese.
