Three years after his directorial debut Pathinettam Padi, Shanker Ramakrishnan is coming up with his second film, Rani. Debutante Niyathi Kadambi plays the lead role in the film, which also stars Bhavana, Urvashi, Maala Parvathi, Honey Rose, Anumol, Indrans, Guru Somasundaram, Maniyanpilla Raju, Aswin Gopinath, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Ambi Neenasam, and Aswanth Lal.

On Saturday, the makers released a new single Paranne Po, written and composed by Mena Melath. The technical crew of the film consists of Vinayak Gopal as cinematographer and Appu Bhattathiri as editor. 

Rani is produced by Vinod Menon, Shanker Ramakrishnan and Jimmy Jacob under the Magictail Works production banner.
