Otta trailer: Resul Pookutty's star-studded directorial debut promises some intense drama

Resul Pookutty's directorial debut Otta is slated to hit screens on October 27. Ahead of the release, the makers shared its trailer on Friday. The film has a huge star cast, which includes Asif Ali, Arjun Ashokan, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sathyaraj, and Adil Hussain. 

Asif Ali's Hari, the central character, seems to be raised by an orthodox Brahmin family by his parents, played by Sathyaraj and Rohini. The film revolves around him and his friend (played by Arjun Ashokan), as they run away from their homes seeking freedom. From the trailer, the film promises some intense, expansive drama exploring various socially relevant issues. Indrans, Renji Panicker, Jayaprakash, Jayakrishnan, Bhavana Ramana, Devi, Mamta Mohandas, Vinay and Divya Dutta also star in it.

Kiron Prabhakaran has scripted Otta based on Hariharan's book, Runaway Children. The latter is also producing the film. Arun Varma is the DOP, and music is by veteran M Jayachandran.
