Vishnu Unnikrishnan, last seen in Kallanum Bhagavathiyum, will next headline a film titled Idiyan Chandhu. It is written and directed by Sreejith Vijayan, who earlier directed Kuttanadan Marppapa, and Margamkali. The new film was launched on Sunday with a pooja ceremony.

Idiyan Chandhu is reportedly an action film in which Vishnu plays a student's role. It will have stunts choreographed by Peter Hein, best known for his works in several South Indian blockbusters, including Anniyan, Magadheera and Pulimurugan. It is after a while that Peter Hein is returning back to action in Malayalam. His last Malayalam release was the Dileep-Arjun starrer Jack & Daniel.

Idiyan Chandhu's technical team includes veteran editor V Saajan and DOP Vignesh Vasu. The film is jointly produced by Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Sreejith Vijayan, Shafeek, Subair and Rayees.
