CE Features

As reported earlier, Joju George is turning a director with Pani, shoot for which is currently in progress in Thrissur. Recently, reports emerged that Joju ousted veteran cinematographer Venu from the team over creative differences. There were also talks about the two clashing on sets, which almost led to a physical altercation. Following this, Venu reportedly lodged a police complaint alleging he received threats from goons to leave Thrissur city.

However, Joju has dismissed these reports as baseless. The actor, who is also one of the film's producers, clarified that Venu opted out of the project of his own will. He also added that he has high regard for Venu, and requested not to spread false information. "I respect Venu sir a lot, and there's no second thoughts about it. In fact, it was he who suggested me to direct this film. So, I urge the audience not to fall for such fake news."

It is learnt that the Pani team has now roped in cinematographer Vijay, who earlier shot Joju's Iratta, as a replacement for Venu. Apart from directing and producing, Joju is also playing the lead in Pani. It also stars Bigg Boss contestants like Rinosh George, Sagar Surya and Junaiz in prominent roles. Others in the cast include Seema, Chandhini Sreedharan, Abhaya Hiranmayi, Abhinaya, Babu Namboothiri, Prashanth Alexander, Sujith Shanker, Ranjith Velayudhan, and Bitto Davis.
