Actor-filmmaker Basil Joseph will next headline a film produced by Ajith Vinayaka Films. It is the banner's seventh's production after backing films like Nivin Pauly's Saturday Night, Madanolsavam and the recently-released Dileep-starrer Bandra. Details regarding the director and other team members of Basil's film are yet to be out. Recently, a casting call was released looking for fresh faces in various age groups. It is also particularly mentioned that the makers are looking for actors from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta.

Basil Joseph has been a busy actor lately with back-to-back projects. His most recent release Falimy, which hit screens on Friday, has opened to positive talk. Directed by debutant Nithish Sahadev, it is a fun entertainer about a dysfunctional family. Basil is currently shooting for the Jeethu Joseph directorial Nunakazhi. He also has Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil and Ajayante Randam Moshanam in his upcoming lineup. Besides his acting commitments, he is also reportedly planning to direct Bollywood star Ranveer Singh in a superhero film.
