Tovino Thomas-starrer Adrishya Jalakangal, directed by Dr Biju, had its premiere recently at the 27th Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival in Estonia. Tovino, his wife and Dr Biju attended the event. In a statement, the actor thanked the organisers and the "wonderful audience who immersed themselves in the film and joined the engaging Q&A session."

Adrishya Jalakangal is the first Malayalam film to be picked in the competition section of the festival's illustrious 27-year history. It is also the only Indian film in competition this year. On this remarkable feat, the actor said, "it's a milestone we're proud of." He ended the note by thanking the film's team members and lastly, his wife for "standing by his wildest dreams."

Adrishya Jalakangal is an anti-war film with a layered structure and surrealistic treatment. Set in an imaginary space, the film has music by two-time Grammy award-winner Rickey Kej. Nimisha Sajayan and Indrans also essay prominent roles in the film, which is produced by Ellanar Films, Tovino Thomas Production, and Mythri Movie Makers.
