We had earlier reported about Sunny Wayne and Nikhila Vimal headlining a new Disney+ Hotstar series. On Saturday, the streamer announced its title as Perilloor Premier League along with releasing the first look. 

In a statement shared by the makers, it is said that the story is set in a quirky village named Perilloor. It is centred around Malavika, played by Nikhila Vimal, who unexpectedly wins an election and becomes the region's panchayat president. The series is directed by debutant Praveen Chandran and written by Deepu Pradeep, who earlier wrote Kunjiramayanam and Padmini.

Vijayaraghavan, Ashokan, Aju Varghese, Sarath Sabha and Sajin Cherukayil also star in the show, which is produced by Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi under the banner of E4 Entertainment. It has cinematography by Anoop V Shylaja and Ameel, while Mujeeb Majeed handles the music.

Besides this, a few other Malayalam shows are also in the making at Disney+ Hotstar. It includes Nivin Pauly's Pharma, the Nithin Renji Panicker directorial Madhuvidhu, Love Under Construction, starring Neeraj Madhav, Aju Varghese and Gouri G Kishan, and 1000+ Babies, starring Rahman and Neena Gupt.
