Few years back, it was announced that Suresh Gopi would be teaming up with director Rahul Ramachandran for a mass entertainer. The film, tentatively titled SG 251, is scripted by debutant Sameen Salim. However, the project couldn't take off because of production issues. After being in the cans for a long time, the film has now been picked up by Abaam Movies. The makers also announced that shooting will begin soon.

Reportedly, Suresh Gopi will be appearing in two different looks in the film. Along with him, a prominent Tamil actor will also be part of the cast. More details regarding the cast and crew are expected to be out soon.

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi's latest outing, Garudan has opened to largely positive responses. The legal thriller, also starring Biju Menon, is directed by debutant Arun Varma and scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas. Suresh Gopi's upcoming films also include JSK, also a legal thriller, and Jayaraj's Oru Perumgaliyattam.
