Kishore and Shruthy Menon will be seen as the leads in Vadakkan, an upcoming supernatural thriller. Directed by Sajeed A, the film draws inspiration from ancient Dravidian mythology and folklore. Unni R has penned the screenplay and dialogues based on Sajeed's story.

Vadakkan, according to the makers, is a multi-genre attempt made on international standards. Academy award winner Resul Pookutty is the sound designer, while cinematography is by Keiko Nakahara and music by Bijibal. Zeb Bangash, a Pakistani singer-songwriter, is also part of the team.

Vadakkan is produced by Jaideep Singh, Bhavya Nidhi Sharma and Nusrat Durrani of Offbeet Studios. Made originally in Malayalam, the film has been dubbed in Kannada and is expected to release in all major regional languages.
