The first single, Thanaro, from Asif Ali's upcoming film Kasargold, was released on Friday. Composed by Niranj Suresh, the song has lyrics penned by Vaisakh Sugunan. Composer Niranj Suresh, along with Thankachan Abhi, have lent their voices to the song.

The film marks Asif Ali's reunion with director Mridul Nair after the success of B Tech. Sunny Wayne, Vinayakan, Deepak Parambol, and Malavika Sreenath also play prominent roles in the upcoming film.

According to the makers, Kasargold is an action thriller that revolves around gold smuggling. It is centered around a bunch of friends and how greed changes the dynamics of their bonding. 

Director Mridul has penned the story while collaborating with Malayankunju director Sajimon Prabhakar for the screenplay and dialogues.

The technical team of Kasargold includes Jebin Jacob as the cinematographer and Manoj Kannoth at the editing table. Kasargold is backed by Yoodlee Films in association with Mukhari Entertainment LLP.
