We had earlier reported about veteran actor Bheeman Raghu turning director with Chaana. The makers have announced that the film will be hitting screens on March 17.

Chaana, scripted by Aji Aylara, revolves around a Tamil man from Tenkasi who comes to Kerala to make a living with his knife-sharpening tool, 'chaana'. It is said to be an emotion-driven story. According to Reghu, the film sharply criticizes our social framework through the helplessness of a man.

Chaana was shot in three schedules in Tenkasi, Kanyakumari, Alappuzha and Kayamkulam. The film's cast includes debutante Meenakshi Chandran, Raman Vishwanath, Sooraj Sugathan, Krishnankutty Nair and Manikandan among others.
