We had earlier reported about Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph starring in Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, the upcoming film directed by Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey-fame Vipin Das. Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment are jointly backing the film. In a recent interview with Can Channel, veteran actor Baiju Santhosh revealed that Prithviraj is playing the villain's role in the film. According to Baiju, Basil is the hero of the story, while Prithviraj essays a challenging anti-hero character.

Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil is scripted by Kunjiramayanam-fame Deepu Pradeep. During its announcement, the makers had hinted it to be a full-on fun entertainer. More details regarding the project are awaited.

Prithviraj is currently shooting for his upcoming Hindi film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which also has him in a negative role. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff play the main leads in it.

Meanwhile, Basil Joseph is part of upcoming films like Kadina Kadoramee Andakadaham and Ajayante Randam Moshanam. He is also in talks to direct Fahadh Faasil next.
