Bilal, the much-hyped sequel to Mammootty's Big B, is once again in talks after speculations surfaced about the film going on floors shortly. Adding fuel to the speculations, Tamil actor Arjun Das shared a poster of Bilal along with the caption 'waiting' on his Instagram handle. This cryptic note from Arjun has led many to believe that he is part of Bilal. However, an official confirmation is awaited.

It was in November 2017 that Amal Neerad first announced Bilal as a sequel to Big B. The makers had planned to begin production in March 2020, but they had to stall work due to the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. Later, in 2022, Mammootty and Amal Neerad collaborated for Bheeshma Parvam, which became a huge blockbuster.

As per the latest buzz, Mammootty is set to reunite with Amal Neerad soon. However, there's no clarity on whether it will be for Bilal or some other project.
