The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Valatty, released the trailer on Wednesday. Written and directed by debutant filmmaker Devan, Valatty is regarded as an experimental film that tells the story of domestic animals and features 11 dogs and a rooster in prominent roles. The film will hit the theatres on July 14.

Valatty is bankrolled by Vijay Babu's production house Friday Film House. The filmmaker and his team have been working on the project for over three years. It included adopting the dogs as puppies and rearing and training them.  Notable Malayalam actors, including Aju Varghese, Roshan Mathews, Indrans and Sunny Wayne, among others, have lent their voices to the animal cast. 

Valatty has Vishnu Panicker as the cinematographer and Ayoob Khan as the editor. Music is composed by Varun Sunil. Apart from Malayalam, the film is also planned to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.
