It was only recently that Nivin Pauly wrapped up shooting for Haneef Adeni's film. Tentatively titled NP 42, it marks the duo's reunion after Mikhael. While many expected it to be a stylish mass entertainer on the lines of Haneef's earlier films, it is now learnt that they are coming up with a comedy entertainer. Actor Vinay Forrt, who is playing a crucial role in the film, made the revelation during a recent interview to The Cue.

According to Vinay, NP 42 is a fun film revolving around a heist. Adding more about his role, he said it's a full-fledged character who is there with Nivin throughout, like Dr Watson and Sherlock Holmes. Jaffer Idukki, Vinay Forrt, Vijilesh, Mamitha Baiju, and Aarsha Chandini Baiju also star in the film.

NP 42 was shot in two schedules over a period of around four months. While the first schedule was in Dubai and other parts of UAE, the second leg was mostly in Kerala. It has Vishnu Thandassery as the cinematographer and Nishad Yusuf as the editor. Rorschach-fame Midhun Mukundan is the composer for this film, produced by Magic Frames and Pauly Jr Pictures.
