The makers of the upcoming Soubin Shahir-Manju Warrier starrer Vellaripattanam have got the film censored and the board have given the film a U certificate. With the censoring done, it is now confirmed to hit screens on February 10. 

Directed by Mahesh Vettiyar, Vellaripattanam is said to be a family entertainer film laced with humour with a social satire set in the contemporary era. Sarath Krishna along with the director himself scripted the film. Apart from Soubin and Manju, the other cast of the film includes Shabareesh Varma, Kottayam Ramesh, Salim Kumar and Suresh Krishna.  

Produced by full-on studios, the film has cinematography by Jayesh Nair and music by Sachin Shankar and Mannath. The editing is done by Arju Benn and Appu.N.Bhattathiri
